Equipment the student must bring
Students work on their own laptops. The academy provides the room, internet, backup power and display.
Monthly costs the family pays directly — please read carefully
These are not paid to Burraq Academy. They are paid by you, monthly, directly to the software companies, in your child's own name. They are stated here in full so that nothing is discovered in Week 5.

How many Connects should I fund? — please read this table
This is the most useful decision a parent makes in this programme. Connects are how many job applications your child can send. More applications, with the same instructor-reviewed quality, means a materially better chance of landing that first contract.

In plain words
Going from 300 to 600 Connects improves your child's chances by roughly 30–40% — the single most valuable additional rupee you can spend on this programme. Going from 600 to 900 adds a further 15–20%. Beyond 900, the limit is no longer money — it is your child's own effort.
What these figures are, and what they are not
The percentages above are Burraq Academy's own estimate, based on the instructor's experience of the platform across 102 contracts. They are not measured statistics and they are not a guarantee. They are given so that you can make an informed decision about funding, not as a promise about your child.
300 Connects is the minimum requirement, not a promise of success. Upwork is the world's largest freelance marketplace and thousands compete for the same jobs, many spending far more than this minimum. What the minimum buys is the right to compete — roughly twelve applications a month, about one every two or three days. This course asks students to apply every day, which needs closer to 900. No amount of credits guarantees that any child will win a contract, and a student who does not do the work will not succeed at any funding level.
Why these accounts are in your child's name, not the academy's
The profile, the reputation and the earnings belong to your child permanently and follow them for the rest of their working life. Putting these accounts in the academy's name would take that away — and this programme is built on the opposite principle.

What Burraq Academy promises
We train and supervise students until they are equipped to win paid work. For Track A students that includes going live on an international platform and submitting real proposals under instructor supervision during the programme.
What Burraq Academy does not promise
We do not promise any income figure, and no member of staff is permitted to state or imply one. What a student earns depends on their own effort and the hours they put in, and it cannot honestly be guaranteed by anybody. Any person who tells you otherwise is not speaking for this academy.
Track B makes no international income claim at all. Students aged sixteen and seventeen cannot legally hold an account on an international freelance platform, and Burraq Academy will not open an account in a parent's name for a student to operate.
The guarantee we do make
If a Track A student attends at least 90% of sessions, submits every assigned proposal, and completes the twelve weeks without a verified platform profile, a live portfolio, PSEB registration and a working payment account — Burraq Academy will refund the fee in full.
The two costs you pay directly
Section 5 sets these out in full. In short: a Claude subscription (about USD 20 a month) is compulsory for every student, and a minimum of 300 Upwork Connects (about USD 45 a month) must be funded for your child to apply for work at all. Both are paid by you, in your child's name, in addition to the programme fee. The minimum does not guarantee success.
Attendance
Attendance is registered every session. The 90% attendance requirement and the submission of every assigned proposal are conditions of the guarantee above. A student falling below the threshold will be notified in writing at the halfway review, in week six, so that it can be corrected.
Refunds and withdrawal
The seat deposit is fully refundable within 48 hours of payment. After the first week of teaching, the deposit is forfeit and any balance paid is refunded pro-rata against sessions delivered. Enrolment closes after week two, because the setup weeks cannot be retrofitted.
Age verification
Track A requires a CNIC copy held on file before the first session. There is no exception. A student without a CNIC is enrolled in Track B and may transfer to a future Track A batch once they turn eighteen, with the fee difference payable at that time.
Recording and materials
Sessions may be recorded for the benefit of students who miss them. Recordings and all course materials remain the property of the instructor, are provided for the student's personal learning only, and may not be shared, sold or republished.
